Tornado & Server Weather season approaches us again.  This page will help you with preparing a plan, getting supplies and knowing what to do.

You will need Adobe Acrobat reader to download and print this form.

Making a Plan
Download this form and fill it out, make a copy and post it in your Disaster Kit and one copy to a friend or neighbor.

This insures that after a disaster your neighbor will be able to better assist rescue workers in finding you and your family.

Prepare a Kit

During a disaster you will not be able to get food or water for days or weeks, and your electricity may not be working. The following items should be in your disaster Kit kept in a sealed container that is easily carried.

  • Your Emergency plan ( downloaded From above)
  • Water - Families set aside 1 gallon per person per day with a minimum of 3 days.
  • Canned foods, such as tuna fish, crackers, ready to eat soups. Remember a can opener ( manual) and if you have an infant, Formula & Diapers.
  • Battery powered Radio & Flash Light
  • Extra Batteries
  • List of prescription medication
  • First Aid Kit
  • Matches (in a Sealed Container)
  • Candles
  • Spare keys
  • Copies of Id, Insurance cards & Other important Documents.
  • Also if you have pets, make sure to include the same water and food for your pets.
  • Emergency Contact Phone #'s
  • Cell Phone

Be aware that these items can be packed into a nice sealed container and should also be carried in the car and place at your work place.

It is extremely important that you go over these plans with small children and practice. The safely of you family rests solely on everyone in the home to understand the Disaster plan.
